Rena and Ramondeep first met through a friend of Rena’s and in September 2012 they got engaged. Ramondeep proposed to Rena on a romantic holiday to Bali (how amazing!). The fusion couple’s wedding day was a fabulous affair at Hendon Hall while the couple were surrounded by their friends and family.
One of the biggest obstacles the couple had to overcome when planning their wedding is family. Especially when you have a large family like Rena has. It was so hard to please everyone, but they learnt that the day was for them. It’s all about the couple celebrating their love in front of their family and friends without worrying about what others think.
Ramondeep and Rena were both very lucky that their parents were happy with the decisions they both made. It was difficult to begin with as some family members believed they should be having traditional Sikh or Hindu wedding ceremonies. However, they are both characters which meant they stood their ground and opted for something simple and not too fussy.
Advice for other multicultural couples
“The only advice we can give, is be true to yourselves. Remember you will upset people whether that be friends or family, but just think it is your day and you as a couple will be the only ones that can decide what is the best for you.”
