A wedding with an emotional goodbye

Remember how I wrote a blog post about my parents met once then agreed to marry – here is a similar story that happened last year. Thomalika spoke to her financé on the phone before meeting him, she only met him once and was excited to marry him.

She was looking forward to becoming a wife and therefore was very joying and happy on the day, which sometimes is not be the case during the arranged marriage ceremonies. The wedding day was announced three months before the event. Both families matched the couple, and therefore they waited no longer. Everything had to be organised in a very short period of time.Arranged Muslim Wedding asian-wedding-photography-bridal-make-up Arranged Muslim Wedding

Since the bride is from London, the wedding day was held where she lives. However, at the end of the day the bride was sad to leave her parents because her fiancee came from Ireland. Which meant that she now had to join her husband and his family and leave her parents house behind. The bride’s sadness is also reflected on the photos, as well as her father’s emotions.

This goodbye reminded me of my cousin’s wedding, he’s from the UK and went to Germany for his wedding as that’s where his bride lived. It was emotional because she was leaving all her friends and family to live with him back in the UK.
