Today I have the lovely wedding of Monica and Philippe who originally met via a mutual friend on facebook. Monica lives in Italy and Philippe was based in Israel but that didn’t get in their way of their love story!

Monica tells us that she fell in love in a moment. Their first date was on facetime and then they met in real life in early August 2013. After just 3 months, Philippe moved from Tel Aviv to live with her in Italy. He then proposed in such a romantic way. His proposal was in Paris on the boat passing in front of the Eiffel tower with a perfect tiffany setting ring.DIY Photobooth save the dateFast forward to just over a year later, they were married in September 2014 on a beach in Tuscany.

Philippe is French and Jewish, while Monica is Italian and doesn’t follow any religion. This is why they opted for a civil ceremony on the beach as it had always been her dream. Their wedding was intimate with about 35 guests and was celebrated by her close friend. The only problem they encountered was with their guests. Due to the war in Israel in July, so many of Philippe’s friends, even his parents, were unable to attend because of of economical issues or the loss of their parents.

The colours they opted for were rose for Monica and grey for Philippe to fit in with their theme which was photography. All of their guests had an insta camera in their wedding bags so they could take some photos and make a photo book. In their ceremony and participation of their wedding, they had also included their pets Polly, Nami and their labrador was present on the beach with a beautiful floral rose ribbon.

Monica, her father and the photographer arrived by boat from the sea at 6pm. This was a secret so the guests were totally surprised! The music of her entrance was created by Philippe (he is a music producer) so it was really romantic. We exchanged our vows and I made two versions, one serious and the other one was funny with some boards.

The wedding cake was cut on the beach with a beautiful full moon. To end the night they launched paper lanterns in the sky with their guests.
