Today I have a styled shoot from a fellow wedding blogger – Sharn from Desi Bride Dreams. She started her blog when planning her own wedding and now offers wedding planning and co-ordination to brides and grooms to be planning their own Asian or Asian fusion wedding!
To celebrate the launch of her wedding planning business, she put together this styled shoot. This shoot represents how Sharn works with a range of suppliers to put together a stunning wedding. She loves luxury and unique weddings and this shoot shows that off. As Secret Wedding Blog is a multicultural, fusion and interfaith wedding blog, it’s important for me to suppliers who can cater to these weddings and Sharn has experience in planning and co-ordinating fusion weddings. This styled shoot shows two very different bridal styles – one vibrant traditional look while the other is more of a sultry look for the modern bride. The copy below is from Sharn telling you all about the shoot.
“When I imagine a dream Asian wedding, glamour is always at the forefront of my mind. A Asian bride should feel beautiful, chic, and completely dazzling. But the same sensation should also extend into the reception space – guests should feel enchanted from the moment they step inside.”
“With this in mind, an incredible team of wedding professionals gathered together at Alrewas Hayes Venue – a magnificent private estate located in the English countryside to create a beautiful piece of gold, glam and chic tablescape. Although the locale may be more traditional, I wanted to showcase a complete transformation through the two looks I envisioned with assistance from stylist Prits Gosal. One look is vibrant and customary, and the second is modern and completely sultry.”
“I’m always drawn toward shades of gold and sequins, so the first look combines my favourite colour and texture with the vibrancy of a traditional hot pink and green Este Couture lehengha. The bride’s hair was swept to the side in a fantastic braid by senior creative hair stylist, and the jewellery in her hair provided by Kyles Collection completed her look in a dreamlike fashion.”
“Because some Asian brides wish to be more modern, I also wanted to incorporate a sultry look. The Este Couture gown was covered in beading and crystals that glimmered effortlessly in the space, especially in candlelit, and we all loved the illusion neckline too! We can also already imagine the groom next to her in front of the fireplace at a civil soiree.”
“Whether a bride is traditional or modern, I believe all elegant Asian brides should host their dream soirees in spaces that are just as stylish. Maz Events created a tablescape that felt equally as fashionable. Lush white roses and hydrangea lined the gold sequined covered table, which was accented with marvellous gold chargers and mirror menus designed by Mani’s Creative Services. Orchids hung overhead on gold horns that anchored the table.”
“No matter the event’s style, I believe a beautiful venue serves to enhance the design. A traditional venue looks even more stunning when it’s modernised with a bright palette, and a sultry gown is made more elegant when it’s surrounded by a classic ivory florals. Your venue is your canvas, make it come alive with the palette and details that inspire your ideal Asian wedding day.”
