Today I have the Hindu Fusion same day edit wedding of Shree and Brian. It’s the first time a same day edit has appeared on the blog and I felt a need to explain what it is. Especially as I didn’t realise what it was until I came across this video.
A same day edit is a short video produced from the footage of the wedding shot earlier in the day, usually only incorporating footage from pre-ceremony, ceremony and post ceremony, that is then showed at the reception as a recap of the wedding.*
Shree and Brian came to Delack Media Group with the idea of wanting to show a Same Day Edit at their reception. Their Hindu wedding had three days of events. Not everyone could attend all three days. So, a Same Day Edit was the perfect way to show guests at their reception not only what happened during the previous two days of events but also what happened throughout the wedding day…up to and including the couple’s reception entrance!
Delack Media Group mentioned that:
“Whenever we show a Same Day Edit, it’s always a HUGE hit. The premiere of Shree and Brian’s wedding trailer before – 400 guests was no different.”
What are your views of the idea of a same day edit? Have you been to a wedding where you’ve seen one? Let me know below!
