A French Countryside Wedding

French Countryside Wedding

Hi everyone, hope you’re having a lovely Christmas period with your friends and family. I haven’t posted much the past few days as I wanted you and myself to spend it away from the computer or phone and enjoying the moments. So today I have the wedding of Isabelle and Florent, they married in Brittany, Northern France. It was an intimate wedding with about 80 people that was so much fun.The day consisted of great weather that allowed them to have the ceremony outside. During the evening they disappeared for about 30 minutes to captured some portraits at sunset.

From the bride:

“It was truly a once in a lifetime moment. I don’t think I instantly realise what was happening when I put my foot to the venue of our wedding. We actually went to the venue the day before my actual wedding. I wanted every little detail to be as I visualised it in my mind, so I had lots of last things to do, I didn’t give myself a proper break that day but I knew it will all be worth it.

The wedding day started out pretty hectic as you can imagine but I was happy, I was surrounded by my four bridesmaids, my sister, mother and dear friends, all whom took care of me, they ensured that everything was fine. That was a relief as it has been the first time in months that I felt relaxed.

As soon as everyone was ready, a little feeling of excitement came over me, I can’t even describe it but it felt good! We got married outdoors, at the beautiful Moulin, the sun was shinning – it was serene.

When I came out and noticed that everybody was waiting for me, it started to sink in, this is my day, the day that I marry the love of life. I looked at my husband waiting for me, he looked back at me as if I was an angel…Whoa that was a wonderful feeling!

When the pastor announced that we were officially husband and wife, I just couldn’t believe how quick that was but fortunately the day wasn’t over just yet. It was party time, c’est la fete!!”

Love how they started with a traditional classic ceremony but later changed suits to celebrate both cultures. Such creative touches always inspire.

It’s such a good way of incorporating both and keeping their wedding so personal isn’t it. Thanks for commenting Nadia 🙂
