Elizabeth Brand explains why she chose Cornwall for her wedding
I have always loved the beach, I don’t know if it has anything to do with growing up in Norfolk or not, but the beach is where I feel at home and as soon as Lawrie proposed (and maybe even before that) I knew it had to be on the beach. I wanted it to be abroad but over ruled that when I decided it was more important to have everyone I loved at my wedding than it be somewhere hot.
After searching high and low for beachside wedding locations that had an indoor option (incase it rained) I finally came across Carbis Bay Hotel, and knew instantly it was the location for me and it was actually the picture above that sold it to me.
We didn’t actually visit the location before hand, which was risky I know, but the pictures were so beautiful I had no doubt I had picked the right location. When we arrived it was even better than I expected, the hotel was spectacular and the location by the beach was the most beautiful setting I had ever seen. It was my dream to be able to get married and then seconds later be down on the beach.
Beth and Lawrie were so lucky with the weather. To look at booking your wedding in Cornwall, at Carbis Bay Hotel, please visit their website – http://www.carbisbayhotel.co.uk/0
