I received this engagement of Zulfa and Fahad from Terry Li photography and was excited to reveal in photographs how Islamic engagement ceremonies work. Terry arrived at the house just before Zulfa getting ready and started documenting how everyone is busy preparing for the food and the day! She Captured some details of Zulfa’s beautiful jewellery and her family member’s dresses - they are all very colourful! The sisters are the first to greet the guest followed by Zulfa, the bride to be who then greats the guests in the marquee. An important moment according to the culture/religion is the time to exchange words. Zulfa has to whisper her wishes to her uncle and then he passes it on to Fahad. Congratulations on the engagement and now the exciting part happens, a wedding and a marriage!
