Today I’m pleased to tell you about norma&dorothy stationery. Recently I’ve been discussing honeymoons (in person, not on the blog) and I’m getting slightly obsessed with travelling. My dream honeymoon is to go to New Zealand to visit Hobbiton because I love Lord of the Rings – little fact for you there. Okay so you’re probably wondering what’s that got to do with norma&dorothy stationery? Patience, padawan, I’m getting there… 😉
I was sent some samples from norma&dorothy‘s new collection and their new theme is travel! Probably couldn’t have come at a better time. There has been so much thought and detail got into every individual stationery piece, from name tags to the stickers on the envelopes to the invitations themselves. Ideal for those who have a wedding theme and want everything matching from the moment they send out their save the dates – to the place cards on the day. Their website literally has everything so pick as much or as little as you want for your stationery.
Kinda known as the stationery kid at school, I’ll always be excited with wedding stationery and inspired by people with the same values as me. Grace, the founder of norma&dorothy, has been designing pretty things from the age of ten, particularly shop fronts in her pastel pink notebook. She studied art and fashion which led her to become a fashion designer for high end brands. When an opportunity to design wedding invitations for her family friend arose, she took it on, which reminded her of her childhood passion. It wasn’t long until this side business became her full time job and now with a wonderful team, who love designing pretty thing as much as her, norma&dorothy provides wonderful stationery for your big day.
What inspires them?
Perfectionism and prettiness
“Our customers place a great deal of trust in our brand; their wedding day is the most important day of their lives and every detail needs to be flawless. This trust inspires us to finish each order to the best of our uncompromisingly high standards. We choose the highest quality paper stock we can find, print our products using industry-leading printing presses and hand-finish each order in house. Every stage of our making process, whether it’s choosing the right glue or hand-tying an impeccable knot, has been carefully planned and perfected over time, with the years of crafting experience behind us.
There’s also the perk of working with really pretty things all day!
Hand-finishing a customer’s order is at the heart of our company, and we pride ourselves on the ability to create something beautiful by hand. Each member of our making team has spent years studying a craft to degree level. Whether its textile crafts, embroidery or paper making, our team know how to perfect a hand-finished product. Feel free to browse our website, and see what all the fuss is about!”
It’s no secret that norma&dorothy is admired by many of my fellow wedding blogging friends, and you can see why. I’ve spent a lot of time on their website browsing through so much pretty stationery. Finally, a quick mention about their wedding signage they also do for your wedding. Wedding signs are always a good idea to welcome your guests to your wedding, especially if your venue is a large one. This wedding sign is one of my favourites.
