Secret Wedding Blog Turns Two!

Secret Wedding Blog turns two

I can’t believe it’s already been 2 years since I first set up Secret Wedding Blog! {I first published a post on the 22nd May 2013} It feels like I’ve been blogging forever and can’t remember what I used to do with myself before it. Each year it gives me a chance to reflect and highs and lows of this blog.

There are many times where managing a blog while maintaining a full time job can be a struggle, especially since the start of April. I left my job in March and relocated to Newbury. I scheduled a few posts but my priority was the move. It was an exciting but emotional move. Since moving back home after uni (almost 4 years ago) my relationship with my mum grew as friends as opposed to mother and daugther. So you can imagine how distraught I was saying goodbye to her again!

Once I moved into my new flat, I had to wait 6 weeks for internet! That was a tough period for my blog. It was nice to have a break for about a week, but after that I was getting twitchy. I’m now getting back into the swing of blogging again while getting used to my full time job which I absolutely adore.

The highlights…

of doing this blog is hearing back from you, the readers! Those who email me for advice, suggestions and tips about interfaith – multicultural – fusion weddings and relationships. It really does make it all worthwhile when I am able to help where I can. For instance – telling your parents about your interfaith relationship – this is such a BIGGIE! It’s helped so many readers and for that, I am glad. I can say that I didn’t have this help in my own situation so knowing others have this useful advice just makes me smile.

Secret Wedding Blog aims to stand out in a plethora of wedding blogs. The blog highlights all types of weddings and relationships in a positive space with new and exciting projects and things coming soon. I can’t wait to share them with you and in the meantime, thank you for all your support.

All my love,

Raj
