Ever since Rahul from f5 photography visited Lake Como 2 years ago with his wife, he had always dreamt about photographing a wedding there. So you can imagine his excitement when Shinal and Shalin chose him to be their destination wedding photographer!
Shinal and Shalin, chose the beautiful Villa Carlotta in Lake Como, Italy to celebrate their civil registry wedding. Villa Carlotta was built at the end of the XVII century, situated between Lake Como and the Italian Alps, facing the peninsula of Bellagio. The villa has a magnificent botanic garden and a museum with various art masterpieces on 70,000 square metres of land.
The plan was originally to hold their ceremony outside on the terrace which overlooked the lake and Bellagio in the distance, but on the day, the plans had changed to hold the ceremony inside as the weather threatened to rain. 10 minutes before the ceremony, one of Shalin’s best-men, made a decision to hold the ceremony outside, and made the venue staff switch everything to outdoors. Fortunately, barring a slight drizzle for 2 minutes, the rain held off and the entire ceremony went smoothly. After the ceremony they all made their way back to the hotel for a 7 course Italian feast, and then the party continued at a bar in Lenno.
It was lovely to hear how the couple and their family and friends made him feel like a part of their celebration throughout, I believe it’s such an important bond between the couple and the photographer.
